Arc Flash

Comprehensive arc flash hazard assessments, incident energy analysis, and NFPA 70E / IEEE 1584-compliant labeling.

An arc flash occurs when electricity suddenly arcs through the air between two conductors — a workplace hazard that can result in serious injury or death. OSHA requires facilities to address this risk, and does so in coordination with two governing standards:

If your facility hasn’t had an arc flash study, your workers may be operating without knowing the true level of risk.

An arc flash study — sometimes referred to as a hazard analysis — identifies the incident energy levels at each piece of electrical equipment in your facility, establishes safe working boundaries, and drives the labeling and PPE requirements your team must follow.
