Voltage & Current Testing

Precise measurements of voltage, current, phase balance, and power factor across your electrical distribution system.

Ballance Electrical uses the Fluke 43 Power Quality Analyzer to measure, trend, and document electrical system performance. The instrument combines the capabilities of a power quality analyzer, multimeter, and oscilloscope into a single unit — giving our technicians a complete picture of system health during a single site visit.

Many power quality issues are intermittent by nature — trending and waveform capture are the only reliable way to document and diagnose them.

Harmonics

  • Voltage, current, and power harmonics up to the 51st
  • Total harmonic distortion (THD)
  • Phase angle of individual harmonics

Power

  • Watts, VA, VAR, power factor, and displacement power factor (cos Θ)
  • Voltage and current waveforms
  • 3-phase power calculated from a single-phase measurement

Sags, Swells & Transients

  • Waveform distortion capture down to 40 nanoseconds
  • Up to 40 transients saved with time and date stamps
  • Continuous automatic recording to track changes over time

Trending & Monitoring

  • Trends voltage, current, frequency, and power harmonics over time
  • Captures inrush current and intermittent power anomalies
  • Helps diagnose equipment failures that don't present consistently
